Food and Fashion Combined: Missoni for Target Launch Party
On Wednesday night, Creative Edge Parties catered the Missoni for Target launch party, marking the opening of their three-day pop-up store in NYC (hurry – it’s only open until they sell out!) and the very short appearance (September 13 – October 22) the line will make in all Target stores.
The event was fabulous, from the crowd (Rachel Zoe, Emma Roberts, RHONY Kelly Bensimon) to the fashions, to the impressive design of the whole event by David Stark and – of course – the food, darling.
Creative Edge Parties used the trademark zigzag Missoni patterns to inspire serving trays that got people buzzing (Martha Stewart may or may not have been seen taking a photo of our smoked salmon hors d’oeuvre with her phone). For this party, it was important that the catering matched the Missoni branding and overall concept of the event, and I think you’ll agree our team did a smashing job.
To prepare you for when the line hits stores next week, I spent a few hours perusing the fashions, and I picked out some of my favorites…
The dress is $54 – expensive for target – but it is SO cute for fall:
I loved all the house wares, especially these pink tumblers ($3.49) and large vases ($39.99):
The Missoni bike! ($400)
I also had my eye on all of the Missoni PJ’s, including this robe. Everything is so cute and comfy. Definitely worth checking out.
…and of course we cannot forget about the food. Check out Creative Edge Parties’ amazing ideas…
