#SMORGASBURG
Smorgasburg is a beautiful thing. Mostly because it’s only a 15-minute walk from my apartment, is on the water with a beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline and involves food from restaurants, markets and food trucks from all over New York.
Every Saturday on the Williamsburg waterfront from 10am to 5pm, more than 100 vendors set up shop at Brooklyn’s food flea market selling just about everything you can imagine from fresh lobster rolls and fish tacos to Vietnamese street food (for only $5-$15 per item). Situated next to a lovely little grassy knoll on the water, Smorgasburg is the perfect stop for a Saturday picnic in the sunshine.
A couple of weeks ago I went with my family and tried just about every thing Smorgasburg had to offer, and some of the fan favorites included:
Speedy Romeo’s Mozzarella Salad with fresh pesto, pickled jalepenos and tomatoes
Chonchos Tacos Baja Fish Tacos
The Good Batch’s Goodwich salted oatmeal, dark fudge chocolate ice cream sandwich cookie was one of the best things I have ever put in my mouth, EVER.

We also loved BEP’s Vietnamese bun noodles, Sunday Gravy’s goat cheese and grilled pepper bruschetta, and Blue Bottle’s New Orleans iced coffee.
Smorgasburg can be overwhelming at first, especially for the overzealous foodie type like me, so be sure to do a loop or two around the place before you decide to dive in!
